Reasons to be cheerful
2007 December 1
Poor neglected blog. I’ve been having a bit of a rough time at work (this doesn’t count as blogging about work as pretty much everyone knows!) and my brain is somewhat fried. However, it’s not all doom and gloom and there are quite a few things cheering me up, like…
- Surprise packages waiting for me in the post office (even though I think I know what it is… ooh!)
- My very lovely new haircut
- The delicious bottle of wine my rockstar colleagues left on my desk on Thursday morning as a pick-me-up gift
- This (spotted just down the street):
Not bad at all.

everyone I know (including me) has had crappy days over the last couple of weeks! Hope yours are coming to an end.
Al
P.S. What’s n the package, if we may be soo nosey?
Heh! Well I have a funny feeling it is from the rather brilliant Red. Have to pick it up on Monday!
Howya describe the new hair there please. Where was it done? Mairead would love that sticker.
It is a bob but very layered, I feel quite bald! It was done by a lovely man called Richard (who my sister thinks is Oran’s gay double) in Toni & Guy on Dame Street. All set for Christmas now!
I hope the package is from me, I don’t trust Italian postmen at all, but normally it’s parcels coming to Rome thatdon’t make it rather than the ones I post.
Now I’m envious of your haircut, my hairdresser just made a royal state of mine. I said “No layers”. She said “It’s not layered.” And guess what?
Oh, and that’s a lovely lamp.
And, finally, I have a photo of Rome’s rather feeble Christmas lights on my blog today- nothing compared to your Grafton St. one though.

Oh there’s nothing like a waiting package to cheer me up too – even if it’s something I ordered myself I feel like it’s a little present!
I love that picture, too cute!
Red – I’m fairly sure it is, but I still haven’t made it to the post office during opening hours
Conor – I know!! I have another package arriving from Apple tomorrow and I am dead excited.
Beth – it’s still making me giggle, best ‘graffiti’ I’ve seen all year…
THAT is a far nicer lamp.
